Partners ERP implementation Food traceability introduction
|
For each ERP project we use the following concept to ensure successful implementation:
Introductory meetingWhen a prospect opens, we always start with one or more introductory meetings, where our ERP consultants give a presentation of MS Dynamics or Soft1 ERP at customer site and write down customer's basic requirements. Pre-analysisAfter a brief pre-analysis within our company, we visit the customer to analyze the entire core processes in the customers business. We identify the current situation, the desired situation, what should be done in order to achieve the goals and what is the time schedule for the implementation. All questions raised by the customer are answered. We write the Functional Requirements Document (FRD). Design the solutionThe third step is to design the complete solution in detail. We customize or develop several important processes and prepare a quick demo for the customer. The proposed solution is delivered to the customer in the form of an Enterprise Design Document (EDD).
Demonstration of the solutionNext step is to demonstrate to the customer the quick demo we developed. This will help the key players to understand the solution and take a final decision. This is a milestone step. We also submit a complete quotation to the customer. If we get a “go ahead” signal we move to the next step. Software installation and testAs soon as we finalize the customization and any source coding our IT engineers install and test the solution at customer’s premises. All software functionally is tested according to pre-defined criteria and scenarios. We use the waterfall model for verification and validation testing. A functional assurance report (FAR) is filled out and signed by the testers.
Key users trainingThe sixth step takes care of the training of the key users. Case studies from the real customer world are performed through the system for training reasons. This is an interactive on site training where all developed functionalities are tested and refined via training. This includes manual and/or automatically transfer of data from the old solution, via dataports. For obvious reasons, the legacy system and the new system run in parallel for several months. DeploymentAs soon as the training is successfully completed, the final and refined system is completely installed. An acceptance walk-through test completes the full implementation of the solution. The customer is ready to “Go live”.
Go live The system runs live. All business processes are performed through the system. If necessary our ERP consultants are on site to support the users. Our team ensures that customer's business objectives are achieved, implemented features & functions are understood, and users are properly trained. Support The
final step is the ongoing support, where the customer is entitled to
first line support. This includes help desk, remote support, new releases,
hot and bug fixes.
